structure, off the banks or weed banks, slowly does it.

Now search Barra and settle back for a few days reading.

    Where are you fishing.

Gold Vipers do well in some places or f18 in stunned mullet depending what ,depth of water you are fishing 3m fish about 5 m of water 5m 8m of water 8m diver works well in the 10 to 15 m water zone

Mate i fished the Burdekin (inland around Charters Towers) and found the F18 in gold with black stripes was the go, often only fishing a couple of meters of water i found lures that occasionally touched bottom did best....

Good luck, and remember when you get sick of trolling, toss lures at the banks, even hitting the banks then dropping into the water, when the lure hits the water give it a couple of quick twitches, then let the lure relax, if nothing happens try it again..... i found most barra i caught hit in the first few seconds of the lure hitting the water........
    have fun!

    Wayne,

Probably not the best lake to chase barra mate. There is none stocked in there!!! a few might have flowed down from Gayndah, but they would be thin in numbers verses the great masses of water in Paradise.

Not trying to burst ya bubble, or be negative, but its the facts. Good luck if you get into them, it would be great to see. Personally, I would try Monduran or Awoonga. Awoonga has been better of the 2.

As for trolling, I like to work a couple of depths, mainly 6-10 ft with 4-6ft diving lures (B52, Xraps etc) or 12-15 ft of water with 10 to 12ft diving lures (Vipers, Killalures, classic barras, RMG's etc)....hope thats of some help.

    Cheers Steve
