    New intercooler??
    What did you hit??

Sometimes the hoses connecting the intercoolers delaminate and close up under accelleration....

And they have to change the intercooler like a radiator hose at 160,000km??
Gees I must be behind the times. I thought intercoolers only failed if they hit a tree (bloody understeer).
    Are they still all alloy??

Sorry but that amases me. But I suppose I'm really old fashioned.

Finga, some apparently are now made with holes with bits of alloy around them, seems the cover vibrating wears holes in them over time amongst other things

anyway looks like there is a bit of work to do to get the old girl on the road again, which it will be by Easter for Monster Murray Cod.

    Phil,
not yet, discussed with them, i took it back and its now being sorted. If it doesnt work out i will.

now getting an ARE intercooler ( a big improvement on the standard Nissan in efficiency and build) catch can etc...the Nissan ones are only crimped and seem likely to fail after a bit of mileage.

Glad we caught it in time and hopefully dodged the bullet
