im doing a compromise 75:1 but i run around at full tit all the time

my theory is its just a marketing ploy by yamaha to cut emissions and make its self stand out no other brand says 100:1 whys that ?

Consider that many post mixing outboards run 50:1 ans the richest mix at idle and lean out to 70:1 or leaner at full throttle, running 100:1 in a modern engine with a modern oil does not sound inreasonable.
The newer oild will seperate in the crankcase and stick to the walls better then and older technology oil.
Running75:1 with a modern oil sounds reasonable
    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
