    30hp Yamaha

Hey guys i own a 30hp yamaha 2004 model blue band, so it has the 3 cylinders... just chasing some advice on how to get better performance out of it, was thinking a new stainless steel prop with a different pitch but i dont know much about that stuff... and i hear you can change stuff in the leg to increase performance... any advice will be muchly appreciated.

    G'day

How about we start with your current setup, figures (WOT and gps speed) and pics of your engine height, and of course, details of your current prop.

wide body what the boys said is correct
the first thing we need to know that is right is the engine height have a look at this as it is a very good explanation with pics http://www.veradoclub.com/smf/index.php?topic=137.0
then we need to know your max revs (so that the engine is not labouring )
then we need to know what size prop you have on the motor ( it should be written on the prop have a look at the inside of the prop there should be a number something like 11 3/4 x 12 )
then we need to know your speed at max revs so we can work out prop slip
it is not hard and you can do it all yourself
