    Cape moreton and surrounds

Took my mate Rodney out for a run yesterday and had a pretty good day weather wise and a few fish played the game , started around the cape to gather livies and thought for a minute we may have to call the coastgaurd for a tow home...... new batteries needed the terminals re tightened and all was good. not fun when these things happen.

dropped some livies around here and there for not much so trolled for a bit and almost instantly hooked a gt so we kept on the troll then a Spanish graced us with his presence ,lost a good lure to something then got three mack tuna around the six kilo mark. also saw a mack jump clean out of the water (like the one on fishing Western Australia ) must have went up about 6 or so meters!
had the research vessel follow us around for a while then left us alone
all fish released except the mack and a smooth run home across the bay.
the Kahlua flavoured water goes all the way to combie point and gets darker the closer to Brissy you get.

    Cheers Andrew

    Gday,
Nice Trevally! There have been a few nice ones caught this season.
Why didn't the Spaniard go in the eskey?
    Cheers,

Sorry mate, I read that as, all fish released except the mack(tuna) haha

Couldn't work out why you would keep a Mack Tuna over a Spanish hahaha

    Yep nothing like fresh Mackerel!

    Cheers,

    Cheers Myles,
I was thinking after typing that I maybe should have explained a bit better but yeah the Spaniard into the ice slurry and the mack tuna torpedoed back to the depths.

Hi Beau , the boat is a 5.8 riptide center console.

yeah Wal no good at the wreck. it`s like a needle in a haystack at that depth and managed to get snagged on it but no pearlies. that's where the research (spy)vessel decided to follow us from hutchies and we had a few quick drops for zip and this boat appears as we were departing and does a u turn and follows us back..... we were the only boat for miles so it was bizarre seeing this big cat looming up on us

It was good weather tuesday and a boat just like yours was trolling the coffee rock near the livie spot. was thinking you might have been out that day.
