nice cod..great dam copeton..should try to get over there shortly by the looks of that...brett
Couldn't get a Bobcat this morning so i grabbed a mate & went out to Copeton Dam....On the water at sunrise,,great conditions... Had heard of some good Cod being caughtso hopes were high ...
In the first 10 minutes i was on & shortly after landed a little 55cm Cod on a spinnerbait made by my son,,,, great start
About an hour later with the spinnerbait about3m behind the boat a Cod of about 75 to 85cm hit the lure in plain view of us then spat the lure Bugger!
Not long after that i had this almighty wack & i was on again & at one stage thought i might have had my first metery but after a bit of a fight he came on board at 75cm a very fat fish...
All up a great morning & home by 11am...both fish caught casting & both released
Cheers Baz

Nice green fish Baz!
The stones in the back ground are Cod holders?
Well its about time you got out there.....lol......
Great session Baz! Got to be happy with that! Now you just need to get a few more sessions in before the cold weather sneaks in. Bloody hell it gets cold at Copeton!!!!
The cod have certainly been on down here too the last couple of weeks......
Hoooray for the cod reports.......lol....sorry barra boys (& girls)........tee hee
Great pics and report Baz. Gee they're a beautiful fish. And Cind's right....it is nice to see reports about species other than our beloved silver sides. Hopefully there might be a few reports from us about toga and bass after next weekend.
Green fish are definitely on my list.
Cheers and well done

Well done Baz. Have not been out for a few weeks (waiting on new boat) but had a go on the Severn two weekends ago for two (55 & 50cm). Hope they are still around in a month or so's time. Cheers Brett.
