    seaway jewies

    HI all,

A bit of a late report, had 2 friends come up from Melbourne last week and decided to hit the end of the north wall in the sea way.

Went a got some live bait from one of the local creeks, one cast and we had over 100 hardy heads, not exactly what we wanted but they did the trick.

We drifted the end of the wall and dropped our lives straight down, my mate was using my phleuger rod, when he got a hit and the fish went straight under the boat, being a little excited, he lifted the rod with such a force and aimed it straight to the heavens and then, SNAPP. I now have a 2 piece rod, we managed to get the fish in and sent her on her way as with the new lengths she was under size.

We dropped another 3 good fish and then my other mate hooked up just outside, another jewie which we released.

Thomas from Coastal Sport fishing was there as well and he caught 5 jewies all the same size. We were back at the ramp by 10am .

Totall for the morning was 2 jewies, 2 flat head and 1 big bream.

I will now buy 2 ugly sticks for my non fishing friends when they visit me.

Lets see them break these babies.
