    Question trailer lights mounting rules

Can anyone tell me if there are any rules that stop me from mounting my trailer lights high on the traiiler? (Qld). I'm thinking about mounting the new set of lights on the trailer guides, about 1.8M above the ground.

    Thanks

I think you will find there are...though I dont know what they are....the same as the reason that 4wds like pajeros and patrols have to have those light clusters mounted in the bumper bar and not the lights in the original vehicle specs on the rear corners....which is just so dumb imho.

If I'm reading it right the regs say a max of 1500mm above the ground but there is an exemption available if, and I quote

"@ May be increased to 2100 mm if the structure makes it impractical to keep within 1500 mm."

    Hope this helps
