    Fishing the tweed

    hi all

i have my monthly RDO next Monday the 22/2 i was planing to fish the Tweed River, but with all the rain that has fallen in the last few wks i'm wondering if it would be worth my time to head down?

could any one tell me what the river is like? eg has it cleared up, are the fish biting, if so what should i be targeting?

i'll be taking my 3.9m tinny with a 25 yammy, also have a minn kota up front so i will be using both bait and lures.

    many thanks

Bring a crab pot ,rain jacket, on the run in tide near the mouth will be fairly clean water, if you got the day off might as well make the most of it,

something in there has to be hungry, at kerosene outlet near the rocks I get some good hits

    Cheers

I went out last Thur arv for a few hours, got a few flatties around 45cm right on the bottom of the tide and a few Bream on the run in that would of been legal if after a feed (From the mouth down to the Barney Point bridge). Plenty of those pesky small bream getting about...
The weather forecast over the next few days looks like Monday should be as good as any for a go
make sure you have plenty of fuel, seems every time I head out on the Tweed lately I end up giving a tow to someone out of fuel, haha!
