trimming down

Hi fellow boaties i have a problem with trim it is currently trimed up but won't trim down will it be solnoid with the 2 wires still goes up mercury 90hp 2004 thanks Brendon

Yours is proberly a different set up to mine Mercruiser with alpha one leg, but I had the same but oppisite problem last year. On mine there are two solinoids joined with a copper strap and then a nice little cover fitted over the top with a screw through the copper strap. Because it is all hidden away it rots away without you noticing . Replaced copper strap with a new one made from a copper saddle from Bunnings plumbing dept 99cents, and threw away the cover so I can keep an eye on the knew one

Swap the trim relays and see if the problem reverses... good chance one of the relays is crook!!

yep sounds like the prob i had johnos done that to ... i bout one from super cheep no worries then
