    No wonder I'm going grey

Good to see Mickthe and Mossey having a few nice trips on the river with some nice mixed bags. I didn't fish the river this weekend , the wife wanted a couple of days up the coast. I thought things had settled down after recently becoming a grandad and my daughter's new family humming along fine and it's back to normal. So after a quick trip to Eumundi markets for the new grandmother to buy baby dress's and spoil the new addition ,I thought I'd spend a couple of hours at the barra park. Few drinks saturday night and hit the Maroochy river sunday. I got the sesh at the barra park and landed 3 little barra but then got the phone call. Garrett's cut his hand pretty bad so all plans are out the window so get back to see old mate and find out he's sliced thro tendons and done a nice old job. He's had surgery today and is still in hospital ,a sad and sorry sight and me I'm just that little more greyer.

Nice couple of fish, hope the young fellow gets better soon, knowing how it feels to cut tendons and break the bone myself a couple of years ago.

Can I ask what the regulations up there are, wouldnt mind taking the young fella up, are you permitted to use your own tackle and or lures ? or is it strictly bait only....

Masterdusky... Saw a few fellas taking their own live mullett in for a shot in the big boys pond. I saw one get smashed and the wake off this fishes shoulders was incredible.Unfortunately old mate lost it. Great place to take the kids for a day and the big kids

Kurt... How's this kids form. He hasn't had the greastest track record . He tells me he had a good landbased session before the injury. Picked up a few bream and some quality summer whiting. Looks like that might be his last fish for a few weeks

Hey Paul, the lad is having a bad run . I expect it will keep him off the water for a bit A bit of time off work as well I expext (that will hurt worse if he cant fish )

I hope it heals quickly and he is back to it soon

Slicing tendons is not a good thing (I never realised the importance of them until a recent experience of my own). I hope his recovery is short and back to 100%. Cheers,

Bad news there chief....Sorry to hear about his hand.
Hope he has a fast recovery.

To make a lighter note of it.....he will have to stay away from those mags under his bed for a while.

Silent... I might go a nice purple

Just picked up the young bloke from hospital and brought him home. I'll have to get used to his arm being stuck up into the air. Everytime I turn around I think he's trying to ask me a question
