    Re: Sea Storm problems

Don't get me started these boats are the worst quality plate boats not by design but by quality of workmanship i've ever seen, they get built by mostly apprentices on $6 an hour wages and you pay peanuts and cut costs you get boats of similar quality, i should know i just got a 8m one built and the amount of things that have gone wrong are unamaginable. They're incapable of even fixing the problems and get fixed at my expense.

    1. custom eskies not sealed and swelling with bloody water.
    2. window wipers not working and never have.
    3. electrical switch board not wired correctly and fixed by outboard dealership.
    4. self filling kill tank pipe not welded and filling boat with water welded and fixed by mate.
    5. fuel tank filling with litres of water every trip because of bad breather location and now fixed by putting breather cover on, but who knows how much damage done to motors.
    6. cabin roof falling in.
    7. rod holders all out of line on different sides of boat by as much as a foot.
    8. rod holders different pipe thickness and pins out of line.
    9. rocket launcher different sized pipes out of line and rods don't go into.
    10.bilge stuffed after two trips.
11.bad electrolosis problem engine anodes 1/2 gone after first trip.
    12.all wireing on sharp edges.
    13.welding atrocious.
    14.windows leaking
    15. trim tabs missing parts and not hooked up.
16.holes drilled in boat in spots i don't even know what for.
17.leaking live bait tanks all over electrics.
    18.leaking water pump.
    19. didn't have steering wheel when delivered they forgot.
20.the transom is not straight it's s shaped.
Ands thats just after the first few trips but then there's the trailer.
21.trailer skids worn out after 10 or so trips.
22.trailer lights on upside down and back to front.
23.number plate on illegal side of trailer.
24.brake calapers fell off and jammed in tyre going down M1 after a few trips.
25.trailer post poorly designed and weak bent and cracked straight away needed fixing and redesigning.
26.electric brakes not working not wired correctly auto electrician fixed at my expense.
27.plain steel bolts in trailer not galvanized all rusted and stuffed.
28.jocky wheel wrong size can't get off towball without digging hole in lawn.
    29. trailer too low drags all over ground on ramps and service stations.
    30.trailer winch stuffed needed replacing.
31.no safety chain on trailer needed one put on.

Shit these are just the start i've fixed and forgotten more things than i can even remember and there is no use sending it back for them to fix they aren't capable all on a brand new boat, i've given up i'm just waitng for the boat to crack and sink so i can get a proper boat.

yeah garry you've got to wonder but matty looked after me alright he can't stop the boss from cutting corners and hireing underpaid monkey's, though it doesn't surprise me he ain't working there anymore i'd be surprised if anybody does soon if they keep building boats like mine.

    Re: Sea Storm problems

I've seen a couple of Seastorms in an alloy welding workshop for repairs over the last few years. One had issues with cracking around the hardtop both at the base and up the top - inadequate bracing in the hardtop and sub quality welds. Another had issues with cracking and flex around the transom and pod where the pod mounts to the hull and around the engine mounts. Apparently there had been others through with other alloy welding and structural problems

Sorry to hear of your drama's Samson

    Re: Sea Storm problems

yeah i bought my 6.1 open water series seastorm and he has already had 2 goes at fixin it.It's a center cab hard top with bugger all bracing for the roof. It's now unfishable until fixed and up until christmas i thought it would get fixed.I rang matt after christmas and he told me he'd been sacked without any explaination before christmas, great start to your holidays.Since then i've had one text from shane saying he's been on holidays and he'd ring me next week, yeah well that was 3 weeks ago and i have since rang him approx 100 times with no answer.I live around 600kms from brisy and can't even go see if the place is even open, the office number is disconnected and the web site isn't working. What do you do,thats why you buy brand new,for the warrenty, why should i pay to fix this.Hey one good thing,i'm not alone
