    Smile fishing kingscliff & evans head area

    Gday everyone.
    Ive booked in for a week holidays up around evans head area for the start of april just wanting to find out wat fish can i expect & were i may find them, ive got a boat planning for some ocean fishing, is there any gps posi i should give a go, & some spots to catch some bait. cheers any info would be much appreciated.

    out from evans is chaos reef (about 6-7km from river mouth). i normally do ok there with at least a few legals every trip. (mostly snaps and trag). have also caught a few mackies in our burley trail. there isn't many good bommies but i normally head to the north east of the breaking water and set up a decent burley trail - low light are the best times.

    Cheers mate. Are you able to catch a few livies around the heads before heading out usually or were do you recommend i find some?
