IF IT CAN'T EAT A WHOLE PILLY I DON'T WANT IT
good luck with the job mate and better yet good luck with the fishing up there
you can fish off the wharf off the front of darwin, have seen some big fish cruise the those pilons, you will need a xtra long gaff.
You can also go down the along the river banks, around the rocky foreshore where the fish market is.
Last time I was up there we just had a look around for spots to fish but didnt fish them, as we were headed over to melvile island.
Just remember there are bit saltwater bities around so keep that in mind.
Regards
HOnda.
Hi
From memory think it is called Buffalo creek. Down along the lee point road. There is a boat ramp there as well.
Great fishing up there and lots of people tend to head out towards the islands.
Good luck
Ronnie
Gday mate get that book NORTHERN TERITORY FISHFINDER FROM ANY NEWS AGENT up there there is a great section on land based spots up there ,when you get there send me a private massage and ill put you on to a few good ones were you get jewys from the bank cheers rob.All the best with your job ,just be bloody carefull fishing land based people get attacked by lizards more often than we read about it down here .it doent have to be just in salt water either.
Rapid creek near Casurina fishes well for Barra on the right tides. The foreshore down near the outdoor cinema is also a nice place with plenty of parking close by. Elizabeth River Bridge area isn't too bad, but watch your vehicle.
Whiting on the foreshore down near Buffalo Creek also in the dry season. The crocs in the harbor are kept under control so don't believe all the stories.
