Massive recall for Toyota Vehicles in the USA

It's funny how you are no longer seeing the tragic adverts with the bloke bitten by a snake and recounting the story that only the reliability of a toymota would have got him to hospital (cruiser in that case).

Toyota's marketing ablity has been running hotter than their engineering ability for a while now. Oh what a feeling. I hope this causes them to return to their roots and hammer out some simple quality vehicles again. I also hope the Fj cruiser has some (further) re-working of the fire wall to stop cracks appearing everywhere before it gets to oz.

In the last few months Toyota has had a few more recalls

Tailshaft on few 4bs
Valve springs breaking
and now the latest, brakes in Australian cars, was on the news last night

Tailshaft issue on 200 Series was fixed fast. If anyone is still having that issue, it's because they don't read or listen to the car. Ignorance is bliss. Burning too much oil issue was fixed pretty fast too. Not aware of any other issues, and still loving my 'Cruiser.
