    bay and offshore mixed bag

had planed to go off the goldie with scalem's m&g but my usual deckie couldn't make it so change of plans, decided to hit the rous for some tings and squid again,i put in at manly at a lazy 6.15 and headed to the rous, was a great trip across the bay and when i got to my mark i decided to go have a look at the south passage bar as i am headin out in the mornin, but ariving at a flat bar was too good not to have a little play offshore, headed straight to the 29's and fished for out 2hrs for 1 pearlie going 40cm and 2 moses perch smallest was 28cm,ot a few fish every drift but alot of small stuff,so after a cruise out to the 35's and a drop there but the current was ragin out there couldn't hit bottom with 3/4 pound of lead ,so called it a day out there and headed back into the rous for some tings and squid, fished for half an hour for 10 tings and 6 squid back at the ramp bout 12.30,good feed and a great day out on the water, really enjoyed being out by myself for a change just relaxing,

Now you can do a real taste test. Pearlie V whiting. I would even throw the Moses in the mix as they have sweet flesh. Nice work for a solo run.
What did you get your Squid on?

    Nice catch there mate.
Had any luck with the crabs? We tried at Donnybrook a couple of weeks back and only caught three. They seem a bit thin this time.
