dunno bout bribie but saw an awesome video of peter morse fly fishing in Great Sandy Stait for them at certains stage of the tide where the large tidal mangrove systems drain off and form a v channel in the sand/mud into the main channel. the threadies sit here and eat glass shrimp as they get drained out of the mangroves. bigins too.
threadies in the brisbane river. dont know much other than they hang around the pipeline in the mouth, colmslie jetty, any jetty with lights and bait activity in the river up to the gateway bridge. lures shad type lures with rattle and live baits. shipping terminals too.
im sure there is heaps of info previoulsy written by more informed anglers.
