hey guys im bless'd with a quite week of work and reasonably good weather. am going to head out intto the bay/over to moreton to have abit of a fish. not targeting anything in particular. just wondering has anybody been fishing any of the north shipping beacons and have they been getting anything off them if so what technique,bait etc thanx guys

I ran into madmackeral up the 4 beacons saturday, we were both looking for some xtras on the way home, neither of us had any luck at the beacons tho.
What we did see at one of the beacons and further north was a large school of bait on the surface, seemed to be nothing underneath chasing them that we could see or catch.
Also one of the beacons showed a lot of promise with quite a few bait balls, but still no predators caught.

thanx honda was out in the bay sunday and seen a huge ball of bait in the shipping channel but exactly as you said nothing holding under it or around it. am planning to head across to the northern beacons in the morning burley up float a few pilles and swim a live'y at nominal depth determind by the sounder. have never put any effort into fishing the beacons so we will see how much patience i have in the morning
