G/Day all just a short report about the Re-run today. After a severe ear bashin ! from my fellow fishos about our poor effort last week-end, i needed to redeem myself so i rounded up a crew (future son-inlaws if their lucky) and headed strait to spot x today instead of joining the Mermaid/Palmy mass. My Brother Terry and his Kids tagged along for there first Mack attack. I left the fishing to my crew while i was the gaff man/de-hooker/bleeder/Boat captain, and after a slow start we managed to get the two boys there bag of nice size Spots with a few Mack Tuna thrown in for Snapper bait. Spent the next few hours pullin lures along the current lines without turning a reel. My Brother also got a small bag of Spots to fill the freezer so all were happy to head home around 10.30. The one thing we found today was that the Spots were just in small groups without much activity above them which made them hard to find. For all the Beaky brigade we found very large schools of large Gar, so thick infact that we were foul hooking them while chucking our SLUGS ! Was a bit lumpy early but by the time we set for home it had calmed right out.
