hi all,
ut in at wello sunday at gentlemanly time of 7.30. almost no parks left already. straight to peel and anchored on the western side north of the spit. stayed till 11.30 for one tusky 33 and a snap 44. returned at 4.00 for the evening sesh with a mate and returned home (to drop him off) at 10. almost ran out of bait feeding throwbacks but managed 1 sweety (31 and returned) another snap at 45 and 3 gold spots up to 55 (also returned). went back out at 1.30am after battery had a little top up and straight to same spot. no pickers anymore and managed a nice sweety at 45 and another snap same size. back home at 6.30 for a good sleep! all in all, not complaining. a good feed of fish. also tested out underwater video camera. bloody good purchase. 20M of cable, 21 led lights and full color. you can see everything down there including fish. have mounted the thing on a pair of extendable tree pruners using the scissor action to enable vertical camera adjustment and just spinning the handle to turn it laterally. very handy for viewing the reef and looking for fish. hook it up to my laptop and i can record for up to 90mins before the laptop battery packs it in. will have to get a spare. highly recommend these gadgets although you are limited to the times of use. no good when the current is strong or weather too bumpy.
cheers to all

chris - pressure tested to 18M but no pole long enough for that. still works just dropping over side but limited control over what you can see - i use it in depths of up to 18 feet with the tree pruning pole.
ross - you bet.
axl - um, dont tell anyone - i was using bait. dont use the plastics at night very much and not when i anchor up. just needed the other 2 p's!
