    BP fuel card

Travelling from Townsville to Karumba and Normonton.

I have a BP fuel card and wondering if this is going to OK to use for all my petrol requirements in the Gulf?

    Any thoughts

put in townsville as a start, Normonton as the finish and Karumba as a "via"
you shouldn't have any dramas by the look of it

    Kev

Don't get caught out like i did one day and use the premium as all the regular's were on the blink. When i went to put it on the card it declined because the boss had it set up for the 91 only and i ended up having to cough up out of my own cunning kit.

    Cheers

Same I have em locked on diesel so they don't fill the wives cars, Max fill so they don't fill jerry cans and locked to the local area so if they get stolen they can't be used all over the state.

Some still may not accept cards and always check before you fill - if cards machine is down so it's cash only for tourists

In remote areas we also don't get the fixed rate , discounts on the fuel either that may be on the rest of teh fuel card.

    Re: BP fuel card

    Kev,

My area I looked after was Cape and Gulf for 5 years, BP was our choice.

    Cairns -yes
    Mareeba - yes
    Atherton - yes
    Ravenshoe - yes
    Mt Garnet - yes
Mt. Surprise - yes (great little gem shop)
    Croydon - yes
    Normanton - yes

They all took the BP card (I finished up there in late 2006)

    Hope this helps.
