Mackay waters

Fished 2 sessions in the SW while up in Mackay recently.

This spot usually fires in winter because its a shallow pool and the bigger barra love getting a good feed in their on the low. Summer time we really have to work for the fish.

Didn't get to much time to fish it but we got a few sessions in between the rain with the old man.

Ended up with a few blue salmon, a few tarpon and a few midget barra. Nothing really worthy of a massive report so ill add our June/July fish also.

(all fish released apart from a few flatty)

Nah mate, I didnt fish much. Raining.

Took the emblem up thou, was going to buy a 6500 saltist but no money left over.

The creek is around 60meters wide at high tide, durring low tide their is several pools each around 50-300meters long and 30-40meters wide.
