    Green Sunday 10/01/10

    Hi all,

Hit M.B.T.B.C at 4:45am & headed to the Nth West side of Green. Anchored up in 10ft of water, had some berley going but nothing except for 2 puffer fish. Tried a few different spots around there and still nothing. Headed over to the shallows on the Nth East side where the sand hits the weed/reef ( 7 ft ). Started a drift and my 10 year old daughter landed the big Grass Emperor, 42cm(Record for the boat, beats my biggest). He gave a great fight. Next she got a 38cm Squire doing a similar drift, then a 37cm Grassie & then I got my only keeper for the day a 33cm Grassie. As you can imagine she was pretty happy ( so was her old man)............WHAT A PLACE WE LIVE IN.

There is no shame in being out-fished by the daughter is there

So will she ever be invited again?? I guess so, but just give her the crappy rod and tell her to bait her own hook next time

    Congrats to the whole crew!

trick77, the lippas pull a lot better than a squire of the same size and taste better imo. Good effort from u and your lil one.

Looks like you did it hard in those conditions hey.he-he.
Mate my young bloke often outfishes me, I love the ribbing we get from our young ones when they do that to us.
Anyhow, congratulations to the young lass for showing dad how its done!!

Look like a successful day out there, Trick.

We've often had a bit of day time luck with the parrot/tusks over by where the red marker once was too (just as a 'heads up' for when taking the kids fishing).

    Cheers!
