Thread: Landcruiser check engine

    Re: Landcruiser check engine

Oxygen sensor turned up today and suprise suprise... not what i ordered.
They got me a universal one that i need to splice the plug onto instead of the direct fit one that I ordered (asked him three times when I ordered it to make sure it would be the right one). They are now telling me they cant get a direct fit one at all.

Anyway it was cheaper than all the others so ill give it a go tomorrow. If it doesnt work or fit i will be taking it back and going to toyota

Junglegreen thanks for the offer but has already been done, also long drive from Gladstone

Any decent workshop should be able to read them for you, only takes about 5 mins so shouldnt cost much.

Any way took the "universal" o2 sensor back, wrong resistance across heater coil (my problem in the first place). Then they found the "right one" for me, $150 so I ordered that, would have fit but still wrong resistance across heater coil.

Ended up going to toyota cost me $275 but its the right part. Put it in yesterday and all good no more engine light
