    muddies and prawns

    i decided last night i was sick of sitting around watching crap on the telly, ive actually been sick of crabbing lately because i dont eat them and i was spending to much time cooking them then trying to find them homes and the neighbours had had enough so i decided to go for a wander and check out my tiger prawn spot got to the spot and to my surprise where a few around so threw the net for an hours and got 1.5kg i was even happier to see so many young prawns so in the next couple of months ill be busy hahaha on the walk back picked up 5 muddies (couldnt help myself) and went home, i cant wait for march ill be in prawn crazy mode

    this is a pic from last season but it gives you an idea on there size at the moment

    Nice we casted for about half a kilo but no huge size so they'll end up as reef bait .
    There were heaps of smalls about with the rains

    I agree with the others JustJack, I'll help you in finding a home for those muddies, a nice jacuzzi to warm them up aswell.

    Good tigers too, well done, that spot of your's must have some type of weedbank associated with it.

    1 and a half hours for the prawns, anyone know if they would be ok live bait out on the shallow reefs in the bay?

    prawns like that best bait ever,
    but that would brake my heart and tummy best to eat them heaven in your mouth lol

    Theyre a gun bait when used live, especially on those big jacks.
    You wont be giving any of those away.
