Little fellas are Bonito - sarda australis I think is the scientific name, great bait and there is a lot in the bay around the four beacons this year. Frigats have a dreadnought pattern on the back like a mack tuna but smaller and without the belly spots.

The little ones are Watsons Leaping Bonito (Cybiosarda elegans) I'm sure. The Sarda Australis are found only in W.A. Awesome bait!

The are not Watsons Leaping Bonito........They are Australian Bonito.

Great Bait for many fish....Here is a pic of a watsons...They have spots and a different pattern & colour altogether.

Yea, spot on Pete. They are Australian Bonito (sarda australis) also known as Horse Mackeral. Take them offshore for some swimming practice and hold on.

    As said above:-

Frigates look like Mac Tuna but without belly spots
Watsons Leaping Bonito has unbroken lines below lateral line and broken lines and blotches above.

Good fun baydog. Heres a pick of mack tuna (above) and frigate tuna (below) both a whopping 1kilo each. A few differences if you have a close look. Yours are definately bonnies. Ben
