    Awoonga Whispers?

The Awoonga locals have gone suspiciously quiet in the last week, and I have heard a few whispers of a hot bite since the rains came, but my sources have gone quiet..........when they surface, they will probably try to claim bad reception or......lost the phone overboard ..............

But I'm thinking they may have set up camp on Awoonga taking advantage of some barra action.........bastards....

No I'm alright really.....I'd do the same , but for the sake of us travelling IBDers, stuck in SEQ surburbia please post a decent report............soon...........please..........h elp.....

    Cheers,

    Matt

So you've been pretty quiet too Matt ......
Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Yes mate, I've been an IBD reclusive, trying to seek some form of solace in Moreton Bay. Its working to some extent - snapper...at least they taste nice, and the sandcrabs have been going down nicely too. Did I mention spotties?

But that was all before Christmas, since then its been crap weather and family activities. While you were all watching AFC, I was watching the chipmunk movie! Thank god for the new PVR (Digital TV tuner/recorder) for christmas - it rocks!

But I'm back onto the bay later this week, more seafood on the menu hopefully.

I did recieve an Awoonga update today..... nine last night!.....consistant fishing.......carpark full to overflowing......trollers doing well too - those who know how to tow lures anyway! Its fishing 200% better than last summer.

Hopefully one of the locals might stop fishing long enough to put a report up!

    Here is my bay evidence.

Trev.....a couple of things your mate can do.

If it's on the carpet, he could try upholstery cleaner. Apply and scrub with a scrubbing brush and rinse clean.

He could also try any product used for cleaning mould from outside painted surfaces before repainting.

Another tip for getting rid of mould from other non-carpeted areas (such as the bilge) is to mix water and bleach 50/50 and pour into the bilge, then go for a spin around the block a few times. Pull the bung out and drain. Repeat if necessary.

You should never add bleach to clean carpet either.

Give it a bloody rest! Park the Bassard in the sun for a while.

Those silly bloody flat boats, what do you expect? I have heard urine might kill mould, we will all give you some assistance at Mondy in Febry if you are still having trouble.

    Gday Trev,

I would recommend that your errrrr mate sells the boat and buy another one. That's what I do when the carpet gets wet anyway

Re the sore back and RSI - as far as I know the only solution is to have a good dose of H.T.F.U.
    Cheers,

    Re: Awoonga Whispers?

Good to see some people have been ALLOWED to get out. I unfortunately have been bogged down with the bloody family ties. Christmas - away. New Years - away. Last night was the first trip out for ages.

At least I was able to keep fishing everyday - wife bought me Bass tournament fishing game for the kids new Wii. You guessed it, Kids off the bed early every night and Dad's fishing till midnight. Pretty good 2nd option.

    Cheers Gaz
