Glad you lads made it back safe.

Years ago, I had to go over the side at night off Norah Head on a 35' yacht I was delivering. We hit a lobster pot whilst motoring in sloppy conditions but no wind and the rope fouled the prop and rudder. The area is renouned for some big bighties, so neither of us we keen to go over, but as I had the longer reach, I coped the short straw. Over I went with knife and torch with the theme to jaws playing loudly in my head. Lets just say that I hacked away like a possessed whippersnipper at that damn rope until we were free. Was certainly glad to get the hell out of the water, so i know how you felt.

yeah i thought the same thing at least it was for a purpose, i would not way go over for a pair of sunnies (sorry Chris). I suppose it is one of those things you just have to do. I look back on it and yeah something could have happened but thats the risk you take.

Tough luck lee wide caloundra seems to be like that this year very good shows but little action. Been towed twice now and its not a good feeling having someone else in control of your boat being towed powerless to do anything.

The vhf problem is sorted now it was running in united states mode instead of international thanks for the loan of yours.

yeah certainly is not much fun, wide cal fished well for the way we were fishing on the drift, if i would have anchored i know i would have bagged without an issue on the pearlies but that was not the plan we had for the day. Ah well a good feed none the less.
