    Bribie Christmas Day.

    Hi all
Well as I said i would be doing we headed off about 5 and put in at Spinnaker. Not much blowing so headed for a short stint out the front. Floated a pilly or to as well as the lighter rods. Not much happening and of course it started to blow up a little so decided to head back into the passage.
Not much happened there either. As I always do i rigged up a pilly and not long after hitting the water off went the rod. Beauty i thought but my moment of glory was short lived. A few runs later it was up to the side of the boat--- A shovel nose about as big as me- about 5' long. Not long after a nice little ray. Both a still swimming happily around somewhere in the passage along with the flatties, bream and whiting we never managed to catch. No one else we spoke to had anything to tell either so things were abit quiet today.

Can't complain as what better way to spend most of the day. Sitting back and relaxing in the boat.

Back at Spinnaker guys we were approached by a fellow from fisheries. All he was asking is what was the fish species we had caught for the day. Do they document this and for what reasons.
