Peel am sat. a few snapps

It's been a while i put a thread on so i thought i would share the fun at Peel at 3 am with about 25 plus NW in full dark to get to my spot with huge waves and no visability. Mate canselled so a solo run was the go. As my mate was bringing whiting for bait i had only a sausage roll until the sun gave the plastics a go. Would you know it a 45cm jumped onto a peice of sausage roll just before sun up. Moved to a better spot after the wind seemed to drop right off to a smooth day. Pulled a 53cm with the plastics on the 4 pound gear with the new green prawn gulp. No surface action from that side of the bay so off home with 2 for a feed. I hope all have a safe holiday and hook up on some good fish over the break. Cheers all.

couple of tasty fillets there Dobson, especially good when caught on sausage roll! good on ya for braving the weather first up in the wee hours( I would have eaten the sausage roll and gone home!) and you have a good Chrissy too. Cheers Andrew

Well done, Snapper on sausage roll thats classic! I headed out to Green the same morning, very lumpy early! Could only get undersized squire and a couple of sweetlip.

Was the prawn a 2" or 3"? I haven't tried that colour yet.

I'm hoping to head out in the next couple of days chasing sandies and snapper.

    Thanks for the report,

    Matt

You should get onto a plastics manufacturer and request a new name 'Flakey Sausage Roll Shine' or something along those lines.Would be a welcome reprieve from all the chicken names.Great catch.Jim

Sergio it was one of the darkest mornings i have ever gone out in and the water was really mercy with no visability in evan 8 feet of water.
Matt it was a 3 inch for the squire and that new red colour is my new nuc chicken for the day time it goes great.
Bigjimg funny as for a new plastic name.
