chasing jacks

thinking of chasing jacks on lures around tin can bay soon, can anyone give me an idea of some gun lures to use and what colours

Mate, I don't target Jacks on Lures but I have it on good authority that Gold Bombers are the go.
From what I know about Jacks if u put a lure in their face they are gonna have a swipe.

My mate says the same too. He has caught a few on just small random ones in the tackle box.
But sure there is more science to it.

Deep diver lures are the go. You can use a heap of lures, hardbodies, soft plastics and vibs.

Their are a few better lures on the market thou, Smith Cherry bloods, Hollow belly's and the like.

Go out and buy some hollow bellys and some jig heads to suit, just ask the tackle shop about the size jigheads to go for. These would be the most versatile lure for jacks imo.

I have been having success this year with the Rapala X-raps in the 65mm size.
Also the Lucky Craft Staysee in about the same size.
Gold for the Rapala, White for the Staysee...
