Sea Catfish And Sharks Makes for Slow Productive trip

Left the Harbour around 3.45 am this morning to try and chase up some fish after having a few setbacks along the way personally over the last couple weeks.
Heading to our spot wide we punched into a ENE Swell and slop making it rather uncomfortable for us.. But after arriving at our first spot we trolled on sunup to masses of birds but no hook ups. ................ after 2 drifts for small stuff we headed wider for another go.
First drop see s myself and the daughter on double hook up ................Yeah Bloody Sea catfish and plague 's they were then the sharks moved in then the sharks started to hammer the catfish on our lines ............... Sheeshus
By well into the day we decided to move after only having 2 keeper fish in the esky a trevor and a stripey.....So wider we heads and we finally startes to haul some fish on board Red throat Blueys and hussars not in huge numbers but they are a feed and we managed a heap of undersized reds and of course catfish LOL
................... Came home on a nice ride wide light winds
Am loading up some vids of one of the sharks and the catfish

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

The cats seem to be everywhere, took a mate fishing 2 weeks ago and we palyed with metre long catfish most of the day. Good fun but wish it was something alot more tastier.

Good to see you made you way through them to better fish...

Fished Cape Capricorn in October and were hammered by big sea catfish and sharks. Disappointing they are still around but the catfish do test your gear!
