Best Place for Second Hand Tyres

    G'day

Looking to purchase some good quality second hand tyres. Will need for the Rodeo 225/75/16 and for the boat trailer 215/40/17 or similar.

Can anyone recommend a place on the southside of brisbane?

mate - allegation is bought a couple from colemans for the patrol and they were side wall punctured and then repaired but good enough not to notice with a quick look on tghe ouitside until you ran a hand around inside the tyre - expensive lesson

Apparently Big Chiefs Tyres at Slacks Creek are pretty good for second hand tyres. My sister in law has had tyres for her Pajero fitted there many times and she reckons she gets great mileage out of them for the price.

Found a good set @ salisbury wrecking. $377 for 4 michelin with 90% tread. These are 235/70/16. Plus swapping the spare over. I'm happy with this as each tyre is RRP as around $300 each.

Second hand tyre king at slacks creek next to Hill's Fencing is another to add to the list.

A member called 'family camping' (I think on here?) had a set of 245 70 16's on holden rims if I remember correctly?

Just a thought, it's worth reading the manufacture date on each tyre sidewall, 4 years is pretty much well into middle age and 6 is positively geriatric IMO.

    cheers fnq

How many do you need ? I have two Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's 245/75/16 with 30-40,000klm of tread remaining.
