Mooloola upper
My mate and I had a exploration paddle up the Mooloola Rv from the upper Kawana wier , he got to the big log across the river, i chucked lures at a few swirls, no luck....no fish....
It took 3 hours to go up chucking lures at likely spots and 45 min to paddle back
2 meters deep in places....
We're going further up next trip.
It's all fun .

Re: Mooloola upper
Might be a silly question since it is up past the weir, but, is that salt/brackish waters that you were fishing or is it all fresh? That greenish colour in your photos looks like salty/brackish creek water but I thought that it may have been fresh up there.

Looks excellent. Nice pics, but why has that man not got a rod with him?

Re: Mooloola upper
Hi,
The wier doesn't cut off the river, only the Kawana Island part, so the water is brackish....
Yer Peter is just doing it for the exercise......
Next trip is further upstream of the big log that stops tinnies..

Re: Mooloola upper
Here's a couple of pics of the wier.
There's usually herring hanging around it. They open a valve every day so there's a bit of water movement. I've seen jacks or trevally chopping...

Re: Mooloola upper
G'day Mitch, have a look in the help section, theres a good discription of how to upload pics there. Basically follow Randells instructions but you will need to resize your pics. The process is outlined in help.
