    Good stuff mate.
I think Roo was wearing one of those bandana, buff thingies last trip up, or the trip before, cant remember.
My feet, lips, ears and back of neck are the areas that get smacked, hat, sun block, sun gloves and lip balm help, plus the long shirt and pants.
    Plus the beer.
Steve, howd you go with Chew Crew and the Scourge Of The South?
Hi Brian it was a little sneaky trying to outdo the original teflon mate i cop the heat in the same places you do as well but i kept the fluids up i went through 2l frozen cordial,2l frozen water ,18cans of coke ,a 2l bottle of coke,1 litre bottle of coke ,a bottle of square bear and a couple of carlton lime infusions

    Hi Shane
Sorry we missed you on Sunday morning, we went back up to a newly emerged island up in south arm on Sunday morning, second cast & i hooked an estimated 90-100 cm speciman that jumped all over the place & then proceeded to straighten the hooks on me note to self, upgrade hooks on cheap lures.
A couple of casts later Malcolm hooked a 112 cm model on a suspending shad, this fish was boated & a new case of IBD has been confirmed.

Tried a bit of trolling but did no good apart from a few catties, bloody hot weekend.

    Cheers Andrew

    Hi Andrew

Not only cheap lures need upgrading ....... I can only think of 2 hardbodies (stiffy range & Ecogear barras) that come standard with owners

You just cant stress the point strongly enough - ( upgrade those trebbles to Owner STN-66) - Even.... 6X VMCs are not really up to the task . Additionally split rings too should be looked at .

Food for thought ....... all that money spent to go barra fishing - only to have $3 -$4 worth of hooks cost you potentially a fish of a life time

    Chris
Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Hi Andrew it was good to meet you and have a chat i did have alook for you on sunday but could not see you old rednut and his mate enjoyed themselfs i think lol
As Chris has said always upgrade the hooks and rings i only done 2 on my lure that caught both fish on the weekend and sure enough the hook that was not upgraded nearly straightened i think the fact that once i had him under control i backed the drag off help me hold onto the fish as when i landed it the lure fell out in the net.
Well done on the 112cm i did not get that far up the dam this trip as i only had a few days i decided i would fish the area's i new i could find fish and not look at others i had not been too before hope to see you there again soon

    Well done Shane.

Good to see some fish still being caught.

How far is that point we fished before out of the water now?

    Cheers

Hi Lee that point mmm well that stump where i hooked the 95 cm on the bank on my last morning is 10m up the bank and the bank in the middle is well out the water that gully in the middle now only has 5-6 m of water in it it had 11m the days we were there however people trolling from that point towards the tree's near the entrance to wiggle bay are pulling fish on the troll in 3-6m of water a new bank has come out of the water near the main riverbed about 50 out from that knarley stump that was on the oppersite side to our bank and the fish are hanging off of there
