    night vision fishing offshore

Have solved a problem that other fishos might have come across.
The spotties had packed it in on the rocket launches so were in the market for a upgrade to LED S the prices were comming in and a lot of doe and the same result light in your eyes and no night vision .
Asked a mate Ron who had a similar problem and got of his arse and designed a system that solves a lot of problems .We fish the central coast Stanage Bay area where we have a run of over 60 to 70 ks out to High Peak or the Percys ,this means a over night and a fish in some big bear country the night fishing is jaw dropping so night vision is important with those big guys comming over the side and 3 to 4 guys fishing all claiming to have the bigest red ever caught .I got one system of Ron and there is plenty of light ,it comes with with a flexible led lights that go into all the cnrs fully water proof and such a low battery draw solves a lot of problems go to the website www.boatlightfishing.com.au Pics to come

Yes I am about to order a set for my proline as they are exactly what I am after and the best bit is you can get the 10m kit and cut it up into smaller sections if you need

Mate i did something similar aswell, the best bit is the deck is quiet bright but you can still see out from the boat and see other boats approaching or at anchor
Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!

    They look sensational!
How does it work where you can 'cut them up'?
If I could split the 7m version in two, it'd be pretty much perfect for my boat.

    Hi Guys

I've had some led strip lights setup like this for a few years now and the do work well. Checkout ebay. Will be a lot cheaper and they work well. They are also self adhesive and simple to install:

Either Red or Blue lighting makes it easer to see as well. I have seen those rope lights on dealsdirect.com.au

    Bigbenny,
The link you supplied states that they are not waterproof. That is why they are cheap as opposed to the boatlights.

Are the wires soldered on the modules? Or are they screw terminals? Just wondering about cutting them up and running like 2 modules in the bait tank as they have in their pictures.

    Re: night vision fishing offshore

    Hi Gator,

Fair call. It was a few years ago that I purchased them (actually from an ebay seller in hong kong). Could be worth a search?

The onesI purchased were actually 120cm long and around $7 each in a pack of 5. Have wired up 2 each in the bow and stern decks and so far so good (they are mounted up under the gunnels). They are a bit bright when underway so its worked well when we can turn off the bow lights and keep the stern on.

Anyway, its another option thats worked for me for a similar result.

Just a few items that have come up.
Ron and the boys at Boat light offer your money back if your not a happy camper try that on Ebay with mr one hung low see how you go!
Red and Blue lighting give you great night vision but try tying a Bimini Twist at night and you will see that Led light is the best.
Ron has told me that the lights work great in the bait tank make it easy to get the little guys on the hook at night also all wires are soldered on the units .
I will put them in the bait tank next trip to Stanage
