    Re: think wisely lure wise

I would buy a deception shrimp in lime tiger, and a tilsan bass in brown and yellow. Both hardbodies but i know they will get me a feed of flathead and bream. In other words if they were the only lures I had to fish with.

But then, I have a squillion lures in various tackle boxes scattered around the garage, so if i was down to my last $25 I probably wouldnt spend it on lures.

Anyone who said plastics is nuts. They'd run out after the first trip or so! What are you going to do then, throw jig heads around. lol.

Definately a hard body lures. AussieFool is onto the right path.

Something small enough to catch flathead and bream to start with, could also be used in fresh water for bass etc.

A branded slug, like a Halco Twisty chrome or raider.

A bigger vertical jig for deep water.

but if you get smoked and lose the hard body then you will be whittling a spear to throw instead of re-rigging another plastic
