Mate i run mine on the port side at 45 degrees, it works fine but you do have to be careful that it doesn't hit the motor cowl when you raise the bomb!
Anyone got thoughts on where to mount a downrigger on a kevlacat 2400? Would it be better between the motors or on a side put at a 45 degree angle to the transom? I have a Cannon Uni troll 10 with the extendable boom.

Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!
i run mine out of the rear corner with no problems
definitely off the corner...too much disturbance beteween the motors.
