Where does all that water go, those cane growers cant be that thirsty can they?
Is there a point where they say no more pumping, or would they keep going till she was dry.
i know the barra are a bonus, the water is there for the growers, just wonderin?

Yes they do suck out heaps....depending on rain I spose. Not sure when they stop, but I think it eases up as the cane gets a start on....usually from now on we 'should' be getting some rain...should. I will try to find out....spuds father in law is the dude who opens the gates!! he should know!!!

Went up yesterday for first time in ages...wow it has dropped, however, from a fishy perspective....I am liking the look of it more and more!!!!!!

Had 2 hits, one strike at the boat which woke me up...and 2 catties!!! in a short 3 hr session....I spent heaps of time just trolling around re-mapping areas in my head!!

Bloody good report Brian and loved the pics. Pity about the prop but these things can be fixed.

In relation to the water release, we strolled over to the other side of the dam wall and watched in amazement the amount of water coming out....it really reminded me of Niagara Falls.

Another question, will the lower levels see a rise in the cattamundi captures.
They semed to back off a bit when water was up in the 30+% range, now with the timber coming out again....?

I can't recall it ever being a "Holy Shite where did the Trout come from moment" during the 18% days......It was definately "How good is this" Barra wise......It was definately prop buster time (It already is)
