    crack jack quack

It always happens when you're not trying...

Fishing for bream in the mooloolah early this morning from the yak. My first two jack, both caught on 3" moldy cheese minnows and 4lb braid and leader. The first was harassing a herring he'd pushed against the pontoon when I put it in front of his nose, gotta love the stealth of a kayak.

Cheers fellas. They were healthy except that first one had a few scales missing on his back there. Not sure if something had a go at him or what?

Yeah mate, the first one went 35cm and the second went 41cm. Lucky too, last time I went fishing in the yak I forgot the ruler but not this time!

Yeah Pete, I love my yak. It's opened up new areas and way of fishing for me. I think my next targets will be snapper or mackerel, I've got a mate who is very keen to get offshore.
