    Shed for Boat building

    Hi All,

Not sure if such a thing exists, but I'm looking for a shed/area in which I can build a boat. Doesn't have to be huge I'm looking at building a 5.6m plate alloy boat (modified boden design).

would probably need to work area for about 4-6 months tops I am guessing

single phase power only, after hours access (or weekends at least)

At a reasonable cost, I know this is the clincher as there are industrial areas though very expensive....

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    cheers

    Hey,

Boat park on Brisbane Road at Labrador seems to be set up for that sort of thing. I am told the rates are cheap for the owner builder.

Ther used to be quite a few of these, but alas...quite a few are gone.....try sampsons marina at thornlands( they call it thorlands, mor like victoria point).........they slip into eprapah creek...a mate of mine had his cat out to scrape its bum last year......there has been an upgrade down there since........lots of do it your selfers.....the staff seem friendly.

serious slipway, sheds or hard stand.....don't know hoe much.

    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
