    Quick Peel Session 14/11/2009

Kyle & I hit Peel before dawn for a quick session. Conditions were near perfect with a light breeze and an incoming tide.

Nothing on the first drift then Kyle manages an undersize snap. My atomic shad gets smashed and, after a lengthy fight, a 36cm snap comes aboard. This fish fought well above its weight.

Next drift I manage an undersize snap while Kyle is steamtrained! After a long initial run he manages to get some line back and a couple of minutes later I net him his equal PB of a 45cm snap. Another fish that fought very hard for its size. It then goes quiet so we moved on.

A couple of flathead and a flounder (plus two sea toads on plastics!) before a small maori cod rounds off the morning. Back at the boatramp before the wind got up...

All fish caught with plastics on light gear (2 - 4kg rods + 2500 reels) and released.
