If you are realy keen and don't mind shelling out....the trailer boat club down there has its own sheltered 5 lane ramp, wash down facilities and a high fenced carpark and hard stand.

And the food in the clubhouse isn't bad either.

    cheers

The ramp in Cabbage Tree Creek, near the co-op at Sandgate, is good at all tides and is four cars wide. There is a huge carpark which I've never seen even half full so you should have no problems there.

I went to Colmslie ramp yesterday..did not even know it existed until Saturday arvo.
Good pontoon but must remember to put the crocs on before getting out of the boat onto the pontoon..I was doing some ancient tribal dance..bloody hell it was hot.

Don't know how big your boat is, but the ramp at cabbage tree creek is great.has a pontoon and i can have the yalta 555 in or out in less then 5 min on my own.

I find Schultz Canal is bad at low tide other wise it a good ramp too.

I bet the missus was happy to get out of bed early and take a little trip down to the ramp at 6.15am and then turn around and go home again.

    Re: Another waste of time

The beacon to beacon does not show ALL ramps, it misses a few, and it show some unservicable ramps that have been out of use for quite some time.

The beacon to beacon will also not tell you much about the quality of the ramp or the facilities.

Now if you relied on the beacon to beacon.....Pinhead might try putting in at the Aquarium Ave ramp or the Ross St Newstead ramp... both would be unsuitable for his boat.....particularly on a low tide.

    cheers
