Corel Reef Finfish Closures
Heading out for the maiden open water voyage in my recently acquired 6.4m Southwind Sportfisher. Trip is a bit of a trial just to get used to her and hopefully catch a fish or three. Heading to Cape Moreton if all goes well.
Question: I know the corel reef fin fish closure is on at the moment, but wanted to know what areas it applied to? I was in at my local tackle shop yesterday and they told me it didn't apply south of Waddy Point.
This was a bit of a surprise so I checked out everything i could find on the Net and there is mention on the latitudes last year (2008) but nothing for 2009.
Can someone tell me if there is an "area" or does it apply everywhere.
Won't make any difference - if the weather is good i am going. Just don't want to spoil the trip on the off chance of catching something "illegal" and keeping it only to be sorry later.
Thanks in advance.
Big AL.

Hi
Fisheries told me yesterday that north of 24,50s it applies and south of that line its good to go.

Thanks Mark, I tried to ring 4 different DPIF offices at about 3:00 pm without an answer ( of the phone that is).
Cheers
