I had Nev at NB Propworks make a canopy for my last boat which was a Cyclone side-console. He's usually pretty busy but does excellent work.

I'll second Nev at NB Prop works.. he made a canopy frame for out 635L. Bloody smick work.. strong as. Very happy.

hey got a pile of long nose Emperor out wide on fri night among other fish. They usually taste great but these were tough as old boot, any opinions?

We caught a few long nose one night that were like boot leather. Not sure why they go like that. I've had spangles like boot leather as well.

The reef is closed for coral reef fin fish. Might be alright for some mackeral tho. Looks like it will be blowing it's arse off by then anyway.

I went out yesterday trolling skip baits and lures at Spur and Linden. Didn't get a scratch. There were a heap of boats out there for the Marlin tournament but at the end of the day the radio report said overall they got 6 tags from 8 hookups. Pretty slow.

caught about 20 of them between 2 boats, yes they are gawdy boys, all had red lips like that. Never seen such before
