yeah i would be careful camping on south straddie unless you got a thick wallet, cost a fortune these days some good camping spots around on the north side of curusoe Is, and they are free.

    Hi jewie

Best get one of your mates to take your car and trailer home with them and then come back to collect you after the weekend away as you probably will not find much left when you get back otherwise. Alternatively make sure all that you leave at the carpark is very very well insured!

Also take lots of midge and mossie repellant.

Horizons dont allow the public to use the ramp there any more but for $10 a day you can use the ramp at Rudy Maas

I parked overnight at the ramp directly opposite seaworld, in the same creek as the Coast Guard. Thankfully no damage to my vehicle.

I also must of got lucky camping at Crusoe, not a midgy to be found and only 1 mozzie. He was in my swag in the morning and quit fat so he had a good feed. I took two types of repellant and was expecting a horror time with them but it was great.
