pine river 0 crabs couple of fish
went for a fish in the pine today mostly around the bridge pylons out of the hot sun while the crab pots got a soak upstream
ended with with a just legal flatty and a couple of bream (all realeased)falling to small switchblade (love these lures!!) as for the crabs N O T O N E !!! !
4 pots in for 5 hours 8 different locations and nothing.. there were a few pots in and around.. wondering if any of those produced.. was using a half 30cm mullet in each pot.
was in around nudgee the other week for 7 large females and 0 males, so i have no doubt these new pots i bought actually catch crabs.
anyone else caught a few muddies lately?

30! man thats awesome.. was there any difference in the colour between the full one and the weater bottles?
green and brown cant rmemeber whihc on is which think the brown ones are full..
yeah saw a dodgy guy a few people have mention on here before has a black painted tinny with a 4 stroke.. he was flying under the bridge.. i blame him for the lack of crabs. lol

Re: pine river 0 crabs couple of fish
definately browner is full mate.when they are that light green and very clean underneath theyre never any good.
also look to see if the claws are worn a bit or nice and sharp.you want one that has very worn claws, means hes been on the chew.
by the way if you do throw back the waterbottles keep track of were you threw them and head back there in a few weeks and you may be surprised the next time you pull him in just how full he is.

oh and i wouldnt bother wasting your bait in the pine.try the creeks around there like baldhills and kedron brook is much better as well.
not sure but i think hastngs inlet may be green zone now but some of my best catches have been from there.
if neither of them work go get some redclaw out of the north pine, should be firing right about now.

Legsy 11
The area up fstream from the sewerage outlet in Hay's inlet is not only a green zone but also a go slow zone. The powers to be have sign posted the area, but only in the channel that runs in on the starboard side. If you use the main access channel into the area, you will miss the sign. Maybe a sneeking placement to catch out those that are not aware.

Hit the pine for a few hours today with Sandbank Magnet, thankfully as I was the capt we didn't hit any sandbanks...
Wind was quite low and heaps of Jennies both mud and sand around. lucky enough to come home with a nice buck each as well.
