    Garmin Oregon400c handheld GPS

    Hey Guys

    Anyone got a Garmin Oregon 400c handheld GPS they look like a great unit. If you do could you please tell me what it is like to use.

    I like mine. Got heaps of features I'll probably never use (geocaching stuff) but I like it. Easy to use.

    Anything specifically you'd like to know?

    Hey Spelchek what is the screen like in the sunlight is it easy to see
    is the mount pretty good as well

    Yeah, screen is fine in sunlight - no probs (mind you, Its the only handheld gps I've got experience with - so I don't know how it compares with other models/brands).

    As for mount - it comes with a very secure 'carrabiner' (sp?) type attachment (ie for hooking to a backpack/belt loop etc) which I use to hang it on a handily placed oarlock fitting in the tinny I have on extended loan atm. I do however have the $15 mount for my bike handlebars, and it's very simple, yet very secure. I'd guess the dash-mount fitting for it is the same.
