thanks mate , i didnt end up getting to moreton we hit noosa instead . i had a small ray out in a burly trail last night on the 10/0 senator but the bullies had no interest .

Diddn't do any good nico. 1 Jewy about 65cm 2 missed bites possibly threadys but did score a few cracking sandies in the pots. Will be out again in the morning for another look. Congrats again on a fine fish. Ben

I was gonna bring a few pots out but didnt bother , i did feel a few crabs taking the pillies off the line .
LBG , the jew are around i "had" one few weeks ago but dropped it at the boat and there has been a few getting caught around the river .
I have only had the 1 big jew (1m +) on my rod (6lb braid) and 1 thready on 20lb braid but i reckon the thready pulled harder than the jew but the TF gave up fighting quicker .

dave , i have been busy trying to get a threadfin for ages and now i got 1 and the weather is warming up i will be back fishing the pine again for a while tagging a few bullies and chasing my first pine jack . Im keen to hook up for a fish some time dave send me a pm and ill see if i can get out .

thanks jimmy , we use the main ramp at pinkinbah , probly not as safe as the fishermans island 1 but its closer for us . With all the work going on there i think its a bit safer now than it used to be and there are port secuirity patrols there aswell . i hope they add some cameras there soon .
