The great white shark bit and rammed the kayak. (Reuters: Ho New)

A kayaker has been attacked by a great white shark at Portland in south-west Victoria.
The three-metre shark bit and rammed the kayak, knocking the man into the water at Nunns Beach.
He was picked up by a passing boat and was not injured.
Police are warning people to avoid the bay area at Portland and Nunns Beach.
    What could go wrong.......................

Funny thing is down that way, you can berly for a surface shark for hours and not see one.
Trust me, i've done it on numerous times.... Yet this poor guy gets hassled.
Seems those Yak Fishos get a lot of notice from sharks (and whales).
The old saying "Size Matters"... and i'd rather be in a 6m boat than a 3m nori roll
